11. (Ain't It Like a) Hollywood Movie (12' Disco Version)
More Info:
In 1975, Munich was quickly becoming one of Europe's top cities for disco. That year, it housed the team of Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte who would produce Donna Summer's breakthrough hit 'Love to Love You, Baby', as well as Silver Convention's landmark disco hit 'Fly, Robin, Fly' - one of the gems that defined the Euro-disco sound. For serious Euro-disco enthusiasts though, the American radio stations sticking to one track was seen as only scratching the surface. Dance-club goers and DJs around the world found continued treasure troves of glossy, string-laden ear candy across all 5 of the band's original albums that spanned the length of the late 1970s. The lavish production of Michael Kunze and Silvester Levay (the brains behind The Silver Convention) can be heard on full display here on their fourth album 'Golden Girls'. With tracks including 'Telegram', 'Summer Nights' and '(Ain't It Like a) Hollywood Movie'. Newly remastered for 2023.
