Bruce Robison was born in Houston, but hails from Bandera, the self-styled "Cowboy Capitol of the World," in the Texas hill country between Austin and San Antonio. His debut Lucky Dog release includes slices of boot-sliding honky tonk music, gospel, acoustic balladry, pop-flavored numbers and even some bluegrass. Yet, it all sounds coherent and consistent, thanks to Robison's increasing command of his craft and the assistance of acclaimed producer Lloyd Maine's.
