About the Team

Faith Bio Image

Faith Henschel-Ventrello
owner

Faith served as Music Director at KCMU (now KEXP in Seattle) while earning her B.A. from the University of Washington, and spent the following twelve years as a music industry executive at Elektra, Capitol, and Virgin Records. In 1998, Faith and Steve Ventrello founded Parador Cellars, which produces Napa Valley Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon. Relocated to Napa, Faith worked in the music-based dotcom sector while helping to grow Parador. In 2002, she and Steve started a second company, Vintage Wine Marketing. Determined to put average overachievers to shame, Faith also revived KCMU as a low-power FM radio station and then…you guessed it, opened Folklore!

Steve Ventrello
Wine Director Bon Vivant

Steve has a storied career in wine sales and marketing, and his superb palate is respected by oenophiles around the world. Since 1998 he has managed the production—including wine-making—of Parador. Erstwhile guitarist, accordion savant, Steve’s greatest artistry may well be Folklore’s varied, interesting wine program.
